Aug. 9th, 2004 10:50 amThis weekend was perfect for practice - two most beautiful summer days.
Then my wife and I sat down to play what we've been practicing.
I get this feeling once in a while while playing, that I can play everything perfectly and effortlessly. I get a very immediate awareness of the fingertips of the right hand, how they land on strings in the exactly right spot and at the exactly right time. I can even land on a sounding string with a nail, without any buzz or hiss (kind of a "super-tirando"). At that point I'm not even thinking about the music. I'm not thinking of anything.
That can last a couple of minutes. Then I drift out of this mode.
Anybody knows what I'm talking about, and if yes, how to train and prolong this state?
